Not only the server on EA Rory, a game abandoned almost 10 years ago, are still running, but the server for TW 14, a 10+ years old game, just shutdown last fall for PS3 and XBox 360. I have a lot more faith of this game running in 10 years on the server, than for the leaderboard to be fixed long term as they crashed too in EA Rory.
10 years of still having the bug erasing the leaderboard would be pathetic. 2K would already have 5 iterations by then. It would be so sad if 2K has 5 working iterations while the leaderboard issues needs figuring out in a 10 year timeline.

The patch is about expected... other than it was nice for those that are still playing to get this years Majors early, rather than having to wait for the actual tournament dates like last year.
I am disappointed that they didn't spend some resources on broadening the gameplay and fixing some pretty significant bugs. I'll just leave it there.
As for 2K... I cannot remember the last time they released a patch, and there are plenty of things in that game could be addressed. But for the most part it is a mature product in a good place.
But I am interested in what 2K have been doing the last year, if anything to improve their franchise. According to people here they hired a few developers of this golf game, so I can only surmise they have something to release at some point. Maybe a new game?

The fact that they have already released the courses for all 4 Majors instead of releasing them as each one comes along, tells you that we can expect, well, not a lot for the rest of the year.
The only thing that will save this game is a ground up overhaul or, basically, a completely fresh release. Preferably one that works, though.

I'm just trying to understand the mindset of the people piloting the ship. I think we can all agree that while game has great potential it has not fulfilled its promise. That there is a huge demographic that they have failed to cater to.
There are obviously a group of supporters that like the game the way it is, but there is a larger marketshare out there they are not reaching. Which explains their dismal participation in the ongoing events.
So they seem to believe providing more of the same content is going to fix the issue. More courses is not the answer.
What is the old adage about doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result?
They need to fix the gameplay... and include some sort platform to build a of community. Country Clubs.... are you listening EA? But before that you need to create a game people want to play.
EA have captured a small subset, but needs to make some changes to be more inclusive of all players types.
I am not advocating for changing things for the current user base, but to add functionality to make the game appealing to everyone.

@ELF014 It’s another standard EA update. I really do wonder who is in charge at EA for this, they’re continuing to alienate the vast hardcore golf fan and golfer by not including a range of options to cater for those who are familiar on how to play golf. EA seem to think the answer is to add courses and very average content which some will lap up and they’re perfectly entitled to do so, but in reality, it’s merely papering over the cracks. I had a look at the new Qi10 driver since I not long got the whole Qi10 set in real life (the low spin driver, tour fairway woods and tour hybrid) and was not surprised to immediately notice how inaccurate the face texture is. One may say it’s just a face texture, but if EA cannot get something as simple as a face texture right (it’s the same face texture on all 3 Qi10 drivers, the Low Spin, standard and Max models), you have to wonder what else they’re not getting right
