@Katybee_1313I play xbox version, but have tried PS5 version using my the same EA account golfer. Had some real funky standings when doing the tournaments on both. Confused the server somewhat.
@Mark_Miwurdz, I believe you. I remember at the start, already there was some weird leak going from one tournament to another. Like the leader at -10 for a 4 holes random tournament.
I think it’s easy to criticise no matter what update they put out.
we could be saying I cannot believe they’ve only gave us the par 3 course, but they gave us 3 others.
so in that respect, I think that was decent.
however, I’m pretty bummed that there was no gameplay improvements, tweaks etc.
one thing that has really annoyed me, and my brother who I play with….right from the start…
when putting, the putter head is a good bit off the ground, and rather than lining the ball up with the middle of the putter, it’s lined up with the very end of the putter.
it looks horrible, and I genuinely ask myself, how does this pass? How is this allowed.
no chance of that being fixed now I’d say.
I’d go along with the assumption that the game will be pretty much left to it now. What we’ve got is what we’ve got.
there’s a great game here, but as usual, EA have made sure to EA it!
I would love to be able to use Nicklaus in the career mode and I hope they add more legends like Bobby jones seve Ballesteros nick faldo and tiger woods if we could get him
I think it's pretty obvious that EA can't make crossplay work in this game. A year and nothing.
I believe there's no more update and support for this game. A lot of Live Service games are abandoned if they don't make enough money, and it looks like this is one of them. Golf is just not popular enough to have this game only on current generation consoles and a few sales on PC.
- @Katybee_1313 I believe PalomaMarvel24 said patch 3 ruined this game. I did not buy the game till it was half price so i couldn't say for Shure but if they would have removed or toned down RNG they might have stopped the hemorrhaging. IMHO
The Lead Designer working with EA since TW12 left May 2023, a month after the game was released. He probably saw the writing on the wall this game had a very short future due to initial poor game sales. Maybe he gave us Patch 3 and left... to go work as Lead Designer for 2K on their golf game.
