PGA Tour Freeze

I have had the game a week now. It freezes when I am in the menu systems. Random. I might be trying to level up, make changes to equipment, just random. Primarily in Career Mode. I don't think this is normal, and I am real disappointed in EA for releasing a buggy product.

Is there a solution? Is there a patch on the way? Is it graphics related? I just want some answers.

On the whole I think you did a good job thinking about what golfers want in a game. It's beautiful as well. Animations are mostly smooth. Love the commentary. But all this means nothing if the sucker won't run!

Also, think about updating your access to technical help. Getting to this was a pain. Like set up a "You Got a Problem" page with links to specific issues. Nobody should have to wade thru pages and pages of useless info. My 2 cents.

    Hey @jmorgan54

Thanks for letting us know what you are running into, To confirm does the game completely freeze (where you need to use task manager to shut down and restart) or is it temporary?

Also, if you have not can we try the following steps?

I have a similar issue. I’m on the last round of a tournament, but it freezes when I try to start the event. I’m on Xbox series X and this is the first time I’ve encountered something similar in over a year.

    Hey @addis0511

If you are still running into issues, would it be possible to try the following?

    • Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
    • Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
    • Check for updates
    • Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
    • Open you're Xbox NAT Type
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
    • Persistent Storage
      • Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
      • Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
    • Alternate Mac:
      • Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings
      • Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
      • Select restart
  • @addis0511 Same here yesterday on PS5. I can not play my Career mode. On round 4 on week two of Korn Ferry Tour. All other game play works fine.

I'll never buy this brand again. Completely freezing and bugging. Never again

Have an Xbox S with a regular Controller.  I have been running Flight Simulator for weeks without any issue like this. I bought EA PGA Tour yesterday and have yet to be able to play golf. I got logged in and edited an avatar.  At random points in the startup it crashes and exits back to the Xbox menu. It has done that maybe 12+ times stopping at random points but not far into the setup. I've tried everything I can including the suggestions above. But still it crashes. I had a mouse connected but I removed it per your suggestion, I changed the DNS to Google, and cleared the alternate MAC address. There is nothing available in settings regarding Blue-ray or Persistent Storage. Nothing has helped.
