When playing quick play with my friend using 2 controllers for PS5, the game randomly switches the player for each controller. Therefore, we have to swap controllers often so we can play with the golfer we selected. I'm not sure why it's happening because it is really random when the golfers/controllers are swapped. I used my account and a guest account (through the ps5 login) to try to see if that worked and it still is happening.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play multiplayer quick play locally on PS5 using two controllers with one user and one guest.
What happens when the bug occurs? The controllers will randomly and inexplicably swap during gameplay forcing users to switch controllers every couple shots. Tried troubleshooting and this has nothing to do with anything users do with their controllers between shots.
What do you expect to see? Seamless gameplay without this annoying glitch.

What do you expect to see? two to for people with 4 different profiles should ba able to play together and should be able to use different controllers

Back to playing 2K23. This is beyond frustrating. Is it possible to get a refund? It’s unplayable.
Having this issue too on PS5 2 player - quick play using 2 controllers. Controllers randomly switch to only control the other player throughout the round. Only way to resolve it is to switch controllers each time it happens.
I had the same issue on Xbox Series X. There needs to be a way to lock/assign controllers to p1, p2, etc. you should not have to only use one controller to play local play without issues
Happening to me too. I don't understand how this game can be so bad, these issues should of been resolved during testing, I can only assume no testing took place.

Pause then un-pause the game using the working controller, it will then revert back to the correct controller for the player on the screen. Just a workaround, needs fixing.
Same issue here with PS5. Quick workaround is to hit O button with working controller and then controls reverts back to intended controller.
Also controller force feedback and audio effects are reversed. I can feed and hear other player's effects on my controller and vice versa.
