PGA Tour Xbox - unable to get a perfect swing

this version is a total waste of money you can't get a perfect swing no matter what you do even on arcade mode.

THIS!!! Exact same problem. On PS5. No matter where it is on that shot meter, my shot is constantly "slow". Running on 120FPS-able game mode, although your game is only capable of 30 FPS. No input lag with any other game. The only way I can get to about ".8% slow" is starting my downstroke at the apex of the curve which shorts me from 100% obviously. Absolutely a broken mechanic. Please fix ASAP. Pretty embarrassing honestly.

What swing speed are you currently using? If it's not 'slowest' then reducing this should help. You can chage this in your golfer's 'Identity' section.

@RichACI believe the context here was perfect swing timing/tempo.

exactly?  The point is when you are off on your tempo or overswing,   you are more likely to randomly hit off target.  As it is we have a circle telling us where the ball can deviate within which might be even with a perfect swing, i'm not sure.  So of course people are going to wonder if that is severely disadvantaging them.   I don't find it to be a big deal myself.

Getting slows on every shot is certainly a disadvantage one way or another and is something that needs fixing by EA for players finding they can't do anything else even on the slowest swing speed.

now that I think about it.  My tempo is literally always slow on almost every single club shot except putting.   Literally.  I'm also on PC not xbox so I agree it must be something with the game.

  • That's exactly it! To get 100% power (i.e. any +% number, not a -% number when you're shot starts display after you complete your swing), you need to pull down until your controller vibrates (at the full extent of your back swing), and then don't push and hold the left stick forward, just quickly flick it up and let go. This worked for me in the driving challenge #2.

Thanks for the previous response poster, you stopped me from going crazy!

  • Hi,  I found a forum and posted my issues but haven't heard back from anyone with a solution. I saw that you are a community manager.

I have been having some issues with swing and putter speeds. They move extremely slow. I have been playing since the end of November and was working fine up until about two or so weeks ago. One person on the forum mentioned take off Quick resume. This has been set as a default from the beginning and have not had any issues so I don't think that is the issue. I think it came after an update.

I also have an issue with a "quest" reward. I played the Players Championship and didn't get the " shoot -9 reward". In one round I shot -15 I would think that would be sufficient enough.

The console is Xbox series X.

    I never play online.

All original equipment is being used.

It would be nice if someone at least got in touch and mentioned it's being worked on.

    Thank you
