Sorry if I’m late to this and it’s been answered before - when there is a playoff when you tie with someone at the end of a career tournament the game crashes and you have to quit and re-start. I’ve noticed this on ps5 and Xbox versions.
is this a known issue?
Known issue or not, it's not going to be fixed after well over a year since the game was released. It sure looks like the game was abandoned by devs months ago, there wasn't even an update with this current pro-pass and it sure looks like it's going to be the last pro-pass.
When playing career mode,3 times I have been in a playoff to decide tournaments and it freezes all the time losing progress !!!! what a waste of time losing xp etc on all 3 tournaments and having to start tournaments again.

xp for all my time and effort wasted
I an now losing on purpose if its a close tournament so it don't go into a play off,as I know it freezes and you have to start again.
Just a suggestion. You can chose Quit, then Save round before you finish your 18th hole, it will reward all XP you have accumulated in your round so far. When you restart, you will be in the tee box at 18th. Maybe the game will freeze if you go in a playoff but you won't lose all your XP.
