The easy solution would be creating a new golfer.
If you want to keep it, you may try deleting your local save file. Golfer level, items, currencies, and online stats will remain on your account and you only loss the career progress and saved settings.
Deleting local save file worked on PS5. My create a golfer was unchanged and I could restart as amateur. All attributes and equipment were available.
How and where do I do that I need to restart my career mode from the beginning?
I’m in the same boat, it simulated my us am and korn ferry events after a few holes, I try to go back and play them and I can’t. And the option to delete my golfer isn’t even available under the “manage golfers” menu.. there’s no button for delete. Frustrating.. even more so than the difficulty of the game lol..
Could be that once you have a created player it won't allow to have no profiles. Trying creating a second golfer in the game, then delete the original one.
