PS5 deluxe edition - Can't Play, only lets me play round with Scottie Scheffler

You HAVE to download the whole game. You are playing the part that is necessary to play the first activity. They do that so you can play the game while you are waiting for the game to fully download. As you download, you are able to access more and more activities until you finally have the whole game downloaded and can access everything. Patience grasshopper 😃

I just bought my Ps5 today and bought the game.  Fully downloaded the game and went to play and found only Scottie.  Deleted game and redownloaded will see what happens

When you are downloading the game again, click on the white icon that says “Downloading”. There you will see the initial download amount that you need to play as Scottie, and the remaining amount you need to download to play the game fully. 

Bought and installed the deluxe game yesterday, have the same issues. Can only play Augusta with Scheffeler. Now played it three times. And there is no way to get to the menu. After the match is finished I can either hit restart, or look at shots (even though this option is not working either)

Is anything else happening? 

Are you only able to enter a match with Scottie Scheffler? Yes, but only this.
What happens if you try to leave the round or quit the game and relaunch? It restarts with the same match 

Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue: uninstall, still the same problem.

Just encountered same issue having bought the deluxe version on sale for Ps5

Make sure and check that game is fully downloaded - Unlike most games, which show a partial progress bar with a break in it, when you can start with limited functionality, this game shows as fully downloaded and lets you start the demo playing as Scottie, without telling you the download is still going on.

Try this:

-> From PS5 home screen go to game library on the far right

-> highlight PGA Tour and click the option button

-> click information

You'll likely see that the download is indeed still going on. The full download is 52.81GB. Thinking back, I did think it had 'downloaded' fully suspiciously quickly.

I had played three rounds as scottie on Augusta, read the thread here, deleted / reinstalled / rebooted etc before I copped onto the above, all while it was still downloading in the background.

Should work fine once the download is finished - Hope this helps!

I'm having the same problem I want my money back ASAP

It's not an early install it's been out for months now your product is trash like usual

Hi @jstanz2323 To confirm the game version you have is fully downloaded? We did have a patch come out today, after you grab that can you check if this continues?

If so would it be possible to get a screenshot or a clip of how the game store page and the game looks for you, I've seen other players mention they ended up downloading the demo version or not seeing it was processing a download for the game when this occurs.
