Putting issues and the cup

I agree completely. I've been having such a hard time trying to read the grid on the greens. Some times the ball just goes the complete opposite direction the grid lines were indicating. I'm sure part of it is skill but some of it seems unexplainable to me.  It also frustrates me that there is no way to practice putting (or anything at all) outside of challenges, which is terrible in my opinion.

That's not a bad idea actually. Shame we have to do that lol, but not a bad idea. 

The putting in this game needs a patch. I just played the Country Club for the U.S. Open and I had 5 bogeys that caused because I could not even see the grid or the beads moving. I was wildly guessing at all puts. If I wasn't within 5 feet, I couldn't tell the break because the grid was nearly invisible. And to make matters worse, you cannot even zoom to see the green closer. Putting is a horror show to me. Augusta was almost as bad. But the biggest problem is inconsistency and the inability to zoom in and even lower the view to get a different look. And I even had one putt that was about 2 feet miss wide right and I couldn't even see a break in the green. Swing was perfect, straight up and down the center. I can't figure out putting, it is just too inconsistent and apparently some course are so bright that you can't see the grid. No contrast in the lines or the bead movement.

There is another big issue... you can hit the ball 20 feet farther than required and as long as it hits the cup it will still go in.

The game has it's share of good features, but there are almost equally the amount of bad.

Off topic... but the way private matches were implemented is criminal.

The putting grid should disappear once the putt has been struck.  Often I can't even see the ball moving towards the hole because of all the clutter.

Re. specifically the cup, I've seen the ball curve in round the cup but I've never seen a lip out.

Cup Physics

As a result of feedback received during early access and launch, we fixed an issue where the visual representation of the cup was slightly larger than its actual size in physics. This resulted in instances where it appeared that the ball rolled over the edge of the cup when it should have lipped in. This fix will be implemented in an upcoming update.
