Guys please, revert. This update on putting is terrible. Additionally, the lip-outs are terrible. I've got 100 matches under my belt on this IP to learn the game and just getting a handle on it. I've played Amateur and Pro settings on TW since 2006, I'm not a new player.
The putting seems off to me on ps5 despite nearly maxing out my golfer on putting. I play solo rounds atm on St Andrews and Wetlands. The break line indicator is often misleading. If it indicates a break i have to give it extra break for it to have any chance of going in. Short putts i can get away with by hitting it firmer. Anything, say, over 10 feet its a bit of a lottery if the ball goes in or not as i have to give it more break than what the break line is telling me. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue or whether it's just me.

It all comes down to how hard putts are hit I think. Err on the shorter side and you're less likely to see the directly running over the hole thing I believe. I've not see it yet either. I have seen the one bizarre bounce of the side the hole that I posted earlier in this thread though.
I really don't mind the lip-outs, makes me feel like Jordan Spieth. I've even had putts roll over the hole, or dip in then out again, and roll past. I do think though that the putting mechanics, or the greens themselves, still need some work. Some rolls just don't have a natural flow to them when following the break. I just played two rounds at Torrey Pines and almost half the putts at some point had a wobble on the way to the hole, moving back and forth slightly against the break, until smoothing out again and quite often there is a sharp curl, usually as it nears the hole (Even when hit perfectly) that doesn't seem totally natural. Also, if there's dispersion coded into putting, that needs to go. I have had level putts go straight left or right as soon as it leaves the club, even when my blue line is straight. Makes it feel like I am an AI player with no control over how I play. Dispersion with drives and approaches is bad enough.

Putting is terrible in this game, when your putting the putterhead barely moves forward, they need to copy 2k game for putting. I've stop playing ea ,i've maxed out my player and played 2 seasons of career mode its getting boring to play.
