as has been pointed out to you on lots of other threads, if many players aren’t having putting issues and you are, have you stopped to think that the issue might not be the game? I’ve played online against people who don’t miss a single putt, because they are very good, dedicated players who have the formula for putting down to a tee. You on the other hand don’t look like you want to admit to needing improvement, instead wasting time ranting on an internet forum about how bad this game is, that you apparently play for hours a day 9 months straight.
Trust me when I say that RagingSaint is not the only one who knows these putting issues exist. He is one of the top players on the PC platform and he knows what he is doing. I also get putts go straight over the hole and I even see the ball bounce off the edge of the cup as if there is a glass tube sticking out of the hole. These issues are very clear and are nothing to do with the players capability.
The problem is not lack of complaints or complainants, it's that when complainants see EA ignore clear issues in favour of adding an extra option in a menu, those complainants tend to give up which leaves EA free to do nothing about the bigger issues in this game.
One more thing, comments like yours actually prevent issues being addressed. A thousand people could make the very same complaint but when just one person comes along and says, "I'm alright Jack", EA thinks everything is hunky dory and does nothing to fix the problem.
To be fair, I don't think general complaints are helping them either. It's not like the issue of a putt rolling over the hole is happening on every hole. It's happening to me maybe once every 15 rounds or so. It's frustrating when it happens, that's for sure. I'll report all the particulars with course, hole number and pin location in the Bugs Reports section next time it happens to me. Maybe that will help.

I agree this thread would fit the bug reports or technical issues. It would be nice if this thread got moved to technical issues and have this combined with the other similar threads. I remembered EA moving an issue thread in Madden Forum to technical issues; that issue got fixed eventually.
It's not like this hasn't been reported ad nauseam. I think @theycagednon point is that we didn't need another post about the same issue.
The OP could have just revived an existing thread. As mentioned by many this issue has existed since an early patch to correct an issue where the ball would go in pretty much no matter how hard you hit the ball.
EA's resolution went too far in the other direction and have yet to evaluate and correct it. OR EA feels that it is correct the way it is. Afterall it's been several patches since they changed it and have done nothing to update it.
I have been on this forum since the game has been released. Offered my thoughts on where the game was lacking the same as others... but it is obvious EA has a roadmap they are following.
It seems they are more concerned about following their roadmap than getting the game in a more playable state.
I would argue many of us have moved on to something else than to endure the flaws in this game. Comments are just falling on deaf ears and misery loving company just isn't enough.

I personally took a break from regular play because I pretty much maxed out my character in a couple of weeks, completed all the achievements then got bored of online not working/loading up games (an actual serious issue that needed to be addressed)... now they have online four balls and foursomes im coming back to have another crack at it properly, this is kind of the thing I wanted from the start and im glad they now added it.
As far as the comments on the forum part goes... id say that is categorically not the case. Forums are echo chambers for people to complain, sorry to say it but thats the truth. Im a member of various DJ gear and photography forums and they are all the same, 85/90% of the threads are around people not happy with the product. These places are not in any way a reflection of wider opinion and should never be assumed as such.

And what we also need to not forget (after watching the previous 3 days of the Ryder Cup) is that golf, and specifically putting is hard, really hard... so why shouldn't this golf 'simulator' make it difficult to perfect this technique. There's a reason why the phrase 'Driving for show, Putting for dough' has been banded around the game for the past few decades. I personally have never had this issue with putts going over the hole, but then the style I play is for the ball to roll into the hole as much as possible.
Over the years of playing this game online, one theme crops up regularly and that is people adding way too much power on their putts, be it trying to remove the break or just general poor distance control, its something ive seen over and over and over.
