putting is STILL broken, I "quick" putt most of the time when playing and the ball rolls right over the hole about 4-6 times per 18 holes. also, that "kick save and a beauty" still happens quite a lot (ball tracks towards the hole and right before "kicks" the opposite way)
@-Roasted513-Well, I am sorry to hear that you're having that experience. But I don't see these things at all any more.
I just got done playing 100 or so holes in the last couple hours, playing at Chambers Bay, Valhalla, and Liberty National, and I never had any problems with putts rolling over cups. Those issues went away with the update that redid the physics.
Maybe if you hit it way too hard, the ball is going over the hole like the hole is not there.
Sorry a typo in my earlier post. I meant to say try maxing out you’re putting skills.
I think there's nothing wrong with putting and that it's been in the best state it's ever been in. Yes there might be bumps and humps that alter with the grids and you may not see them.
But 95% of the time I can get a good read. That other 5 % to me is no big deal because I understand this is EA's first golf game in a long time. It takes time to work out those kinks.
Putting doesn't seem game breaking to me at all.

I have to assume this is the OP's issue here. Once they re-did the cup physics in a previous patch, I have seen no issues with balls rolling over the hole or anything like that anymore. It was horrible before that patch, but putting is quite good now (save for the aforementioned 3 courses that have poor green surfacing).

I've never had it kick opposite direction for me like you claim once.
If it does kick it's cause there was a hump there that I didn't read. That's on me.
You say "it rolls right over the hole". What does that mean? Like as if the hole isn't there? Out of ALL the puts I've made in EA PGA, The ball hasn't once just "rolled over the hole".
If there is too much speed it will lip out hard or pop up in the air and land 1 to 3 feet next to the hole.
You say "right before it kicks, it goes the opposite way"
If it kicks then goes the opposite direction next to the hole, you don't have enough momentum with the ball. If the ball dies next to the hole it will turn depending on the slope angle.
Maybe a video clip of what you're encountering would better explain it.
Out of curiosity OP, how hard are you hitting it?
Rule of thumb:
Level putts aim 2 ft past.
Uphill putts aim 2 ft past plus 1 additional foot for each inch uphill.
Downhill putts aim 2 ft past minus 1 additional foot for each inch downhill.

The answer is way too hard, they have posted videos previously that show they hit it way too hard, but they refuse to accept a single piece of responsibility for anything.
If Putting was as bad as they claim, how are the best players on Tour Pro hitting 8/9 under par in 9 hole online games every single time they play?
Like most things in life, if you refuse to accept that you yourself needs to improve, you will never ever get better at anything, its clear as day that this is what is happening here. Just let them keep venting.
