Where to start…
Well… for some reason a perfect/perfect/straight swing just bent into 15kpm wind to make sure I hit some water 😂😂😂 literally went off in the opposite direction from which I hit. But… I was like -13 at the time, so -shrugs-
that was the most recent example on the last hole of a round I just finished before I saw your question.
I play this game… a little too much. My goal was to get really good at arcade and then gradually move up to sim… but if I can’t trust the game to do what I input with my controller on Arcade mode… I’m glad I’m not being randomly messed with like that on sim.
Everything about this game is random, I’ve never in a million years seen a professional golfer back spin a 54 wedge 40ft.
Does anyone know the current player count atm?would be interested to know how many people have jumped ship to 2K
I’ve never played a 2K game. I played Rory’s game until they took it down lol.
But that seems about to change as this element is so random and therefor upsetting, I might have to.

Finesse shot. 60 degree wedge. Full blue arc on the hole, dark patch just past but centred with the hole as it’s uphill…
perfect/perfect/straight swing… I think it might go in..
but into the air it goes… off to the left about the distance of three of those dark circles for the landing zone and falls into a bunker I didn’t even notice was there because there was absolutely no potential I might hit it. But… I did.

That's highly reproducible in the game actually, not random.
With a maxed out golfer and top stats I don't find the random element of shot direction detracts from the gameplay personally. Shots always go basically where I hit them in a way that doesn't feel unrealistic. I know fans of arcady repeatedly hoking out on approach shots won't agree though 🙂.
I have my stats almost maxed out on accuracy and there are at least three holes per round (if I’m swinging well and scoring low) that go completely off the rails where the ball is landing far from any indicators (blue arc or landing zones) without explanation. Not an odd bounce or spin which I accept as “seeming” random.
it’s literally like the game says “if you hit the ball properly it will land here”. So I hit the ball properly and it lands… far away from that.
