Re: 2 million coins...

Same here, 2.1m. Maybe we can pitch in and buy one of the mansions overlooking Pebble Beach.

  • @lolwhat1234I actually had close to 2 million a couple seasons ago before I went on a buying spree. I currently own all golf swings, all clubs/equipment/bags/clubhead covers + all hats and shoes. I own all female attire that is in the shop and am only missing a small amount of the male shirts/pants. I currently have 1.1 million left but I think that I probably have enough coins left to buy everything that is left in the shop (not counting specs). The only thing I don't own is all of the specs since 99% of them are worthless.  It took me a full year of playing the daily tournaments and 100% completing all of the challenges in the game to get this far.  I always wondered how long it would take to completely buy the shop and I've basically reached that point I think.  It took over 1,700 tournament wins to get enough gold to afford all of the stuff that I have so it's been quite a time consuming matter.  At this point, I can't imagine that I haven't earned close to 10 million coins or more lifetime but I've spent so much in the shop that I can't keep track.  I don't see any point in holding onto them since my goal was to buy everything in the shop before I quit playing this game.  If I was smart, I would have skipped the daily tournaments except the free one though.  I'd estimate that I've spent close to 3,000,000 on tournament entries over the past year as well.  I've amassed over 6,300 tickets which I'll never use up.  I just wish that there was a way to trade tickets in for gold so that I'd never run out of it.

I've bought lots from the store too, though all I really want is a fully matte black putter shaft and would quite happily pay half a million for it.

6,300 tickets is insane. I've only got around 700, they're much harder to come by on PC since you often need to finish first place to get the Winner payout in the daily 9 and 18. I'm not fussed about spending lots to rank higher though.

I wonder if they'll ever bring back the High Roller tournaments from the early seasons. Although the reward structures were awful relative to the entry costs, not sure I ever actually entered any of them - it was basically cheaper to buy the prizes from the store a couple of weeks later.

  • @lolwhat1234 Generally, I only play each tournament once per day (95% of the time) so I didn't waste a lot on re-tries. The 3,000,000 gold on tournaments is 380 days of paying 7,000 per day which adds up to 2.7 million. Considering there were 8 tournaments per day during the first month or two of the game (tournaments cycled every 12 hours), I've probably spent over 3,000,000 on tournaments. I also did do those high rollers when they were available, but I think that I got my money back for getting 'winner' on every one of them. For those high rollers, I never expected the prizes to be in the shop a month or so later, but I did end up earning them for cheaper because you always got back your investment into those high rollers if you were able to get 'winner'.

Omg, I have few clothing and I rarely change outfit. Just as in real life, I have my favorites and wear them most of the times. I like the way we pick different outfit for each round and get it over with. I picked the pink Bubba Ping driver and I doubt I will ever play with another.

@packattack04082 Tremendous respect for your unsurpassed skill with the game.  I'm a huge fan.  And really appreciate your ongoing advocacy for fixing the bugs and making the game better.  One would think your accomplishments would earn the ear of the EA devs.

  • @Demodexitch Thank you! I've seen you have been playing the tournaments just as long as I have. We might be the only 2 on PS5 that have been playing them just about every single day since launch. I never expected to play the game this long if I am being honest but generally enjoyed the tournaments, which is why it's a bummer that they have been buggy for the past 6 weeks now.
