Re: Alternate Tournaments in Career Mode

I got around the issue by creating a new golfer, started it on the PGA Tour rather than doing any amateur stuff, and skipped straight to the appropriate week. With having absolutely no record and no wins, it puts the golfer into the alternate, as the entry requirements for a normal event aren't met.

Hopefully you can get the hoped for result. Good luck.

  • @Noya_Wesa Thank you… I have come to the conclusion that most of these things will require a new golfer but I was just hoping to avoid that. I think it may be the only option, though.

At least there is some comfort in the new golfer being able to use any club specialisations that you already have, so it has quite a boost to the initial stats as you level it. Not much of a silver lining, but it's better than none. 🙂

  • @Noya_WesaHaha true that.

I actually had it in my head that since they had the option to create female players they also included the LPGA in full, so I had started down that road. Perhaps I’ll just use that player to accomplish this, instead. 🙂

Sounds like a great plan. Have fun! 🙂

  • I've been programming for over 40 years.  My opinion is to program simple character nexr to the "skip tournament' button (i.e., X character) which allows the player to chose the alternate tournament.  If an alternate tournament is not available for that week, simply 'grey out the alternate tournament button'.  The choice should be player's option...not the programmer's.

My estimated programming time to fix this problem is less than 30 minutes.  If EA sports programmers cannot fix this issue...make the source code available so we can fix it
