I've assumed it works as you describe but I've not seen anything definitive that says so. I can't really think how else it could work though?

Thanks. I guess it's also a way to double up on specs since you can't use, for example, two driver specs.
I didn't want to drop 18,000 on Spieth's ball spec if it didn't work that way!

For what it's worth I think those who have bought ball specs have been a little underwhelmed at the effect they have. Maybe have a little search. I've not bought one myself to comment.
