We've heard basically nothing about the mouse swing -- to the point that I'm wondering if it will get quietly dropped and be controller analog swing, or 3C when it releases, only.

Where did you get this Info?

I just realized something

There is no Mouse Swing at all, is there?

There was mention of being able to "play with the mouse and keyboard", but that answer I think might just mean "playing 3C with the mouse or keyboard."

I think I (and others) made a mistaken assumption that "play with mouse and keyboard" (optionally) would mean an actual mouse swing..

..but to my knowledge, EA has never said that at all, have they?

Just launched the game as I have EA Pro.

Mouse support is only in main menues and is barely functioning.

On the course you have to use the most random keyboard layout ever and the mouse doesnt seem to be available at all. At least I couldnt figure it out.

And it is no way to remap keys to something more natural.

I mean A is select, B is back. Home and End is used for swinging. An the list goes on.

This game is made for controller and k+m support seems to be added by someone who never have touched k+m at the last minute.

Personally this will be the fastest uninstall in history. The game isnt better than the 2K games and with no mouse support what so ever on course and no way to remap the keys using K+M is a big chore. 

So if you do not have a controller or dont want to use a controller then just stick with the 2K games.

OMG ... totally agree. Just tried it here, and am utterly dismayed. How hard could it possibly have been to recognize mouse movement for swing control? To my mind, that would an even more natural feel to it than "swinging" a game controller analog stick. 

Lots of other quirks to the keyboard/mouse implementation too (scrolling control is awful in menus, some menu items don't respond to clicks at all, only to(weirdly-mapped) keypresses), but those would have been liveable if the golf swing itself were at least satisfactory..

I know plenty of folks are bound to come along and say "just use a controller"...but as a long-time PC user (and gamer) here, controllers are NOT my thing. 

If I can't find a some solution that works (controller emulator/mouse+keyboard mapper or what-have-you), I may be exercising that "(not so) great game guarantee" of theirs for a refund. 

Worst golf game EA ever released as the PC version is unplayable with keyboard and mouse. I think the devs only use a pc, keyboard and mouse to enter code rather than actually play the game they stuck us with this time. Keyboard and mouse were fully supported in the "Tiger Woods" versions so my question is, did they lose the code used to write it in earlier editions? Seriously considering a refund as this along with graphic stutters, the terrible computer generated voice and playability seem really lacking. It is either that or go spend money on a controller just to play one PC game. Come on EA, wake up and do some justice to the golf game you have previously made incredible by making this at least playable in a reasonably expected fashion. 40 years as a gamer and this is the worst keyboard layout I have ever seen with no possibility of rebinding the keys into something usable.

I have an Xbox controller and the game still has issues using it. Not to mention the menus suck. I am not going to study for an hour to figure out what should already be intuitive. Guess I will be getting the 2K23 PGA Tour. EA sports has gone to crap.

Definitely needs the 3 click and mouse updated for shots, etc. The menus don't even recognize mouse clicks, and have to press the back button or keyboard to cycle through menus. The controller implementation isn't that much better, unfortunately. Why can't we use a trackball or mouse combo? The end and home keys don't even trigger the swing on my keyboard. I won't go into the terrible characters, though--except the character designed looks nothing like the one built while actually playing the game. Really hoping to play Augusta while the tourney is this weekend. In it's current state, I can't even get 'in the game'. The only way to actually play the game is with a controller, but it's so hard to angle change shot trajectory--no overhead trajectory change, I mean wth..

I thought they had advertised the return of 3 click pre release.Made a big point of it. Total con trick. And now KB  users are barred from entering some tournaments.

its an absolute joke of a game and mechanics, how can you leave out an entire community and seriously who the hell wants to play 3 click thats just entertaining. they should be forced to put in that there is no mouse swing support at all or even 3 click mouse support I had to use the A key to use the 3 click swing. i just bought the game today loaded it up tried to look for mouse swing and had nothing on it. i was confused as to why there wasnt any mouse swing support so maybe i will try thte 3 click swing then a popup showed up saying i had to use the A key to use the 3 click and not even the mouse button took 1 swing and asked for a refund. yes this is on me for not doing my research but i have been playing PC golf games for a while now and not once was there no mouse swing support so didnt even think of it. i was really disapointed. alot of people hate on 2k23 but seeing this 2k23 is looking to be the best damn golf game out there now. what a joke of a game and development team.
