No option for turn-based play in this game. This is something many users have been complaining since the game was released. I doubt we will ever see it in this game, maybe if EA makes another one in the future. Personally, I doubt they will.

I agree this option should have been included from the beginning. But EA understood it wasn't viable for their party concept of allowing 16 people to play together, in my opinion a stupid idea. But instead of completely removing it they should have offered an option to leave it enabled for Private Rooms.
And they should have paired their party play concept into 4-somes, with turn based play having highlights when players outside your group make great shots. And if they cannot fill all 16 slots... ensure that the logarithm has smallest group as 3 people. So for 10 people competing you would have groups of 4-3-3... and not 4-4-2 or 3-3-3 rather than 4-4-1.
But there are way more important things to be fixed in this game in my opinion before looking at turn play.based. For me fixing the swing mechanics, ball and cup physics would be at the top of the list. Along with some options to include some meaningful green speeds and rough settings, being able to disable the aiming reticle and control of Private Room settings.
There is a long laundry list of things that can be done to improve this game... before we even talk about Country Clubs and a Course Creator.
