Yes, does the 'Putt Read' option in Settings -> Gameplay not do what you want @0129038ef1c8df11 ?
- @Ultrasonic_77 I think he’s referring to the Putt preview how it works in 2k and the past EA TW games where it show you where the putt would go AFTER you lined it up NOT before
thats what i ment what ultrasonic said
The putt preview option should be implemented as it is in TW14 for the PS3, i.e. if available you must press a controller button to view the putt preview. It shouldn't be a settings option where if set to "On" it's always shown or "Off" it isn't.

if anyone needs a putt preview to sink putts all the time, you should to elsewhere, putt preview IMO is a cheat
also, is you have the putt line in your setting enabled, it sorta shows where the putt goes
The putt preview has nothing to do with someone wanting to sink putts all the time who otherwise wouldn't be able to. Sure, that might apply to some players, but who cares. EA could provide for disabling the putt preview option if you want when starting a match online. Also, making generalizations about what anyone should or shouldn't need is not constructive feedback. People from all walks of life may be playing the game. Shouldn't everyone be able to enjoy the experience if it's not at the expense of everyone else. There are many reasons why one might choose to view a preview of their putt. Some players may take the game less seriously than others. Some may just be really terrible at games in general. Some may be vision impaired. Some may be handicapped. Some players might be young children. Others may use the putt preview option in a very conservative fashion and only as a learning tool to get a better handle on reading the greens.
It makes no sense for a putt read to give you a line before you lined it up
The whole idea behind the Putt Read is to help someone read the greens and move up difficulty and eventually turn it off
The putt read is distracting. There is zero “learning curve” behind trying to line up where the putt read is telling me to aim
On 2k the way it is implemented (and on past TW games) you can “learn” the greens so much better
Let me give you a couple of examples
Lets go to Augusta for example you have a Putt that’s breaking severely left to right, you try and learn the green by estimating how much break there is, you “hit putt preview” and it tells you that you missed by 2 cups, you adjust and it goes in
On that same first example you can go to a number of different courses and see a similar break next time you know much break to play. The player is learning the game
For the 2nd example let’s go to that same left to right putt we had a second ago. This time the player with a “Putt Read” is now completely ignoring where the green beads are telling them to aim. The player just lines it up trying to replicate the Putt line
Putt Read should be a stepping stone to help players learn the green right now it is not doing this job, changing this to a “Putt preview” would make it better
