Info for PGA 2K25 is starting to come out, with the lead designer of this game working as lead designer of this new 2K game. With Tiger as cover of their Legend Edition.

Have they ever fixed the online gameplay when playing a friend? Usually one had to play as their own made up guy and then the other user could be whoever they wanted.

Yeah, saw that this morning. EA doesn't have anymore or gave away exclusive rights for the 4 Majors, the new 2K game has 3 of them, missing only the Masters. They're bringing daily and weekly Ranked Tour tournaments just like here. And it looks like they have cross-platform societies too.
This new 2K game has the fingerprints of the lead designer of this game. Some of what is here is going to be in this new game. And the graphics looks a lot closer to this game than PGA 2K23. This is probably why this new 2K game is not going to be available on old generation consoles anymore.
If there was any doubt for some that this game is not only toast, but EA is not making another golf game, the fact EA didn't keep those exclusive rights for the US Open, PGA Championship and the Open is the final nail on the coffin.
I started a topic way back in September 2023 that the game was probably toast. That's when I saw the Lead Designer of this game was no longer with EA, he was working on the golf game for 2K. Somebody else in that thread mentioned another top developer for this game was now also working with 2K.
The CEO at EA just about all but confirmed in February golf was abandoned and cancelled.

@SlimDown57 Give them 2 or 3 months after release and it's going to be on sale.
I'm not planning to buy the game for months either, if at all. It looks better but it will probably once again have the same feel as the original The Golf Club. Even the swing looks the same as 2K23. If I wait long enough, it will probably ends up being given for free as PS+ game of the month again.

A EA sempre foi melhor do que a 2k no golf mas parece que vão virar o jogo!🤷🏻♂️ - @SlimDown57 O jogo parece ser bom mesmo, mas realmente os preços estão abusivos.

Aqui no Brasil o nosso jogo ainda é vendido com preço elevado ($60).
