Re: Xbox One controller constantly not being recogized by game.

Hi there Illium, my controller loses access to the game and then a message will pop up saying no controller detected. Please connect your controller and hit OK. Of course my controller is already connected, so I just hit ok and usually it comes back right away, although not always. Sometimes I have to hit OK several times before it finally responds. Then it might do it right away again, or not do it for a couple of holes, then it starts again. This is close to making the game unplayable for me. 

And it is not the controller itself, as I can use my controller when I play American Truck Simulator or Mafia and have no connection issues when I am playing. 

I am playing on steam. I know there are lots of people with this issue, and it needs fixed like yesterday. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Well, I am happy to report, that this morning anyway, my Xbox 1 controller is being recognized by the game, and I never got the error once telling me that it was not recognized and to hit Ok to use my controller. 

So hopefully that issue is fixed. Someone on your end must have did something. Hopefully it sticks. I will be keeping you abreast of any further problems if I have them. I have another issue with not getting the weekly rewards. Just played another weekly this morning and we will see what happens, as I never got the rewards from the last weekly I played. I will post this problem in the bugs section of the forums.

Hi there again folks, 

Well I guess I was being a little too optimistic. My Xbox 1 controller was fine earlier in the day. Now it has started again not recognizing my controller. Seems to decide to screw me up whenever it wants. I just played 18 holes of golf and it wasn't too bad for the first 14 holes or so. Just gave me that message and made me hit ok about 2 or 3 times. Then the last 4 or 5 holes it happened quite a bit. This morning I was fine. 

Can someone at EA reply to me and at least let me know that you are working on this issue. I mean the controller is the best way to play the game on the computer. And what is promoted by the game developer. At least make it so we can use it.

Can confirm my xbox controller is randomly locking up.

Will randomly lock my previous input for 3-6 seconds before "reconnecting" and allowing me to use my controller like normal.

Problem is something in the EA app directly as windows controller screen shows the buttons perfectly fine while in game its still locked.

I've seen this same issue reported in need for speed and fifa

Hi Bradley, well somebody replied. lol. And you are right. It has to be in the EA App, as my controller works fine in American Truck Simulator and any other game I use my controller in. They need to fix this, as it is ruining the experience big time.

help, my controller is locked up on PGA Tour
