Reason For Not Being Able to Play as Pro in Career Mode?

Question

Devs, Any reason why we can't play as a pro in our career? I find the customization options for my player to be limiting and was curious if there was a legal or technical reason as to why we can't choose an already created pro?

I believe this would add much more immersion into the game and would love to understand why? As a life long fan of your golf games, I would love to get this into the game, if possible. Especially given the latest patch where you can play as The Golden Bear!

@kingjavo007 Well I’m certainly not a Dev, but here’s my take…… I believe that after their looooong hiatus from the Tiger Woods series followed by the MASSIVE flop of the RM game, EA doesn’t want to have any one particular name tied to this game…… that plus the fact that if they were to allow pros to be played they would have to get permission from and or possibly have to pay royalties to said pros. Frankly I’m surprised that they brought in the Golden Bear 🤔😉

I suspect it's all licensing issues as well, as we were never able to do it in EA games.&nbsp; I would imagine many would have like to take Tiger and play career mode with him in his heyday.
