Absolutely 100% disagree with you beerrun, my entire network/group of online golfers don't care 1 bit about whatever your h2h is..
we all want to play a game of golf in OUR GROUP, the way its meant to be played in every single OTHER GOLF GAME that's ever been created and including those from EA until now.
the lack of this format is why the game popularity is no longer just dying , its dead, nearly everyone I know who owns refuses to play because we can't play together.
This is not some online fame grab game and never will be. so I am sorry but your rationale make absolutely 0 sense or logic.
People buy the game to play against people TOGETHER not in the no turn order rubbish, you want to play solo, go play the tournaments or quickplay.
What are the points you talk about worth? 0 they mean nothing , its a social game, you are not getting a career playing this game mate sorry to tell you.
Omg, no wonder you're all too good for this game, since you've all been playing golf games since the beginning of times. And all those devs at EA are probably in their 30s or 40s, they can't imagine players that good.
Kind of funny reading about old games. I remember not that long ago, we were cleaning that big closet in the basement. There was a box of floppy disks I wanted to throw in the garbage. Dad didn't want to throw it out, and absolutely wanted to keep them. I said 'dad, we don't have computer playing that stuff'. He pulled out this big old gaming computer in there and showed me it could played that floppy disk. It was some kind of Leisure Suit Larry game with really bad graphics.

So you're all saying it's ok for beerrun to shoot down my opinion because isn't how he wants to play but when I respond in like, it's not ok. And then ageist references like it's ok for you to say it's not ok to mention how long I've been playing but you all can have your say about your misinterpreted view starting from the original post.
No hypocrisy here. Instead of us all rallying together to get EA to see our views let's rather shoot down each other and argue with ourselves instead of focusing on what matters.
Had anyone bothered to realise that my original post was calling out EAs algorithm that is the code for 2-16 players is what makes the 1-4 player option not possible work because they can't or don't want to integrate new code to accommodate the entire selection of gameplay that would suit everyone.
It's something said pre-release would be done in the first major update and why many still purchased it.
But hey you all have your opinion and along away. My gripe is with EA and anyone thinking they can say my opinion is worth less than theirs.

I am happy to listen to your objections... I'm just having problems understanding what they are. I don't know what platform you are on but when I want to play with 3 friends we just create a private match.

I for one don’t care if someone argues against someone’s else’s opinion, I just rather try to keep it friendly without antagonist language like implying they lack a clue. As far as the age stuff goes, the rest of us just used your comment to start reminiscing, but none of us implied that due to our ages our opinion mattered more. There’s a bit of a difference there.
Anyway, I don’t have a problem with your desire for a 2-4 person turn based stroke play. I have a small group of friends I’d play that with. I just don’t want it at the expense of eliminating the current onlline 2-16.- yusd252 years agoSeasoned Rookie
@7AnimalMother never said or meant I want it gone, it's just apparent that's it is the thing that doesn't allow for another form of traditional stroke play. Until Ryder cup. If it's there then why can't it be full time. Btw I and a few friends have tried to get an online stroke in the tour , Sim and pro 2to 16 games dozens of times, only my a friend in Cali has had 1 successful match up with 2 only so 3 players, but only matches we get are each other maybe it's the Australian time difference but 30 of us that I know of all are in that time zone

lol.... it is funny you mentioned that game m. I bought a Miyoo Mini Plus a few months back to do some retro gaming on a handheld. And along with the normal console games up to a PSX. I did load in several PC series including Leisure Suit Larry, Roger Wilco... and Monkey Island just to name a few.
And in the garage I know I have a tray that holds several hundred 3-1/4 floppies with data. Including courses for the Links game.
And I would argue we may not be that good, but we have experienced a lot of computer games over the years.
I don't know how smart I am... but experience can make up for a lot.
My favorite story is how my cousins 17 year old daughter made a comment about how smart he had become over the last 5 years.

Wow, there was a Monkey Island game in there, no idea what it is. Dad told us they were still making those Leisure Suit Larry games, he had 2 of them on his PS4. Anyway, I feel like a kid here, I never heard of most of those old consoles. If it's anything like what I saw in his old Leisure Suit Larry games, the graphics were really bad. I can't imagine a golf game looking like that.

lol....
Do a Google search for Atari 2600 and Mattel Intellivison Golf games. To see how far things have come... but even these games had some resemblance of golf as they brought your imagination into play.
