Omg, no wonder you're all too good for this game, since you've all been playing golf games since the beginning of times. And all those devs at EA are probably in their 30s or 40s, they can't imagine players that good.
Kind of funny reading about old games. I remember not that long ago, we were cleaning that big closet in the basement. There was a box of floppy disks I wanted to throw in the garbage. Dad didn't want to throw it out, and absolutely wanted to keep them. I said 'dad, we don't have computer playing that stuff'. He pulled out this big old gaming computer in there and showed me it could played that floppy disk. It was some kind of Leisure Suit Larry game with really bad graphics.

lol.... it is funny you mentioned that game m. I bought a Miyoo Mini Plus a few months back to do some retro gaming on a handheld. And along with the normal console games up to a PSX. I did load in several PC series including Leisure Suit Larry, Roger Wilco... and Monkey Island just to name a few.
And in the garage I know I have a tray that holds several hundred 3-1/4 floppies with data. Including courses for the Links game.
And I would argue we may not be that good, but we have experienced a lot of computer games over the years.
I don't know how smart I am... but experience can make up for a lot.
My favorite story is how my cousins 17 year old daughter made a comment about how smart he had become over the last 5 years.

Wow, there was a Monkey Island game in there, no idea what it is. Dad told us they were still making those Leisure Suit Larry games, he had 2 of them on his PS4. Anyway, I feel like a kid here, I never heard of most of those old consoles. If it's anything like what I saw in his old Leisure Suit Larry games, the graphics were really bad. I can't imagine a golf game looking like that.

lol....
Do a Google search for Atari 2600 and Mattel Intellivison Golf games. To see how far things have come... but even these games had some resemblance of golf as they brought your imagination into play.
