The writing was on the wall over a year ago, when the lead designer and developer left EA and ended up signing with HB for their 2K golf game.
Agree Michelle, once Patel left for 2K, it sure looked like this game wouldn't last long.
As for the server, there were few PC players in this game for quite a while. And then there was a big increase with EA Play or whatever it is called, and the game being sold for only $10 or so. The game was stuck at only 30,000 sales for forever on Steam chart.
