screen flickers black pga tour
Just purchased EA Sports PGA tour from Steam and right from the start the screen flickers and gives me a 2-3 second black screen every 10 seconds or so. This goes on constantly and the game is unplay...
Thanks again for your answer!
I opened the EA App but there is no (or at least I could not find one) repair option anywhere?
Also regarding the EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify), I don't know what this means and what is EGS? Can you please elaborate on both these?
I did however the verifying on the Steam app and this was the result: 1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired.
Will this repair happen automatically via Steam somehow, because there was no option or possibility to do anything after the scan was completed?
HI @gimmick2 Thanks for the update!
First EGS stands for Epic Games Client. Since you don't own it there, we don't have to worry about that bit.
WIth the failed file, Steam should have attempted to download it right after it finished verifying. Did you see anything in the Maange Downloads section of steam?
Thank you for your reply!
In Steam Download section (which I just checked after your reply) I can see that Steam has downloaded a 758.5 KB file a few days ago, so that part seems to be in order and fixed.
I'm still getting daily crashes though, but I tried to reduce more settings today to medium and turn some off totally.
I will keep you posted if it helps and if there is anything I could send you to better understand the problem, please let me know.
Hi again and sorry for writing so much, but today after two total crashes within couple of minutes these two error reports were generated:
First crash:
DirectX function
"g_dx12Renderer->getDevice0->CreateCommandList(1<<gpuNode), commandListType, transitionCommandAllocator, nullptr,
FB_IID_PPV_ARGS(&gpuData.dxTransitionCommandList.assign Get 0() "failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video cvard has been phusically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occured."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti" , Driver: 53667. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing: tryu installing the latest drivers: DeviceRemovedReason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respont to more commands").

Second crash:

Hopefully this helps and hoping to get some help how to configure either the game files or game settings to help with this.
My crashes always gave me the same errors as yourself

This is what i did to solve the crashes
I noticed that i had 2 games in EA App installed through steam on c drive. PGA TOUR and The sims 4 (granddaughters game)
1... uninstall both games through steam, uninstall EA App
2...install steam onto a different drive (in my case i changed from c to d
3... install EA App back onto c drive
4...insalled both games back through steam onto my d drive
5...Always play the game from steam library DO NOT run the game from desktop shortcut or the EA App
Not had any crashes since
Funny thing is, the sims 4 started crashing, even though it had never crashed before,,solved that by installing to another PC
No crashes on PGA TOUR in over 8 days
My conclusion is the EA APP is at fault, not your GFX Card or Drivers
Thanks a lot for your reply and suggestions @spillers10
I do have Steam on my C drive and most of my games installed on my D drive including PGA tour. I also usually start the game from the desktop shortcut, but will only use Steam library from now on.
If this doesn't help, I will uninstall Steam and put everything on my D drive, but it's a long operation so I rather not do it but will if nothing else helps.
I also have a feeling crashes are caused by the EA app, because this is the only game that causes crashes or problems.
