Suggestions to Improve Challenges
I'm enjoying the challenges more than playing rounds. Good on EA for providing the extra content; the challenges are almost a whole game unto themselves (don't you dare, EA).
What would make the challenges more fun and less frustrating:
- Make it take less time between each shot and each challenge attempt.
- Default to the appropriate shot type for the shot that needs to be made. Like, don't default to pitch when the challenge is for a chip.
- After the player takes a shot, the next shot should default them to the same club and shot type they just used.
- Executing the same shot 3 times in a row is enough. 5 is unnecessary.
- Provide recommended power, driving, approach, short game, and putting skill levels for the challenge. A lot of people, including me, wasted time trying to hit the long drives when under-leveled in power. It wasn't obvious.
- If a challenge involves hitting the same shot but from multiple distances and/or spots, give the player a heads up about how many of each type there will be. It's easy to miss when the distance and green contours change from one shot to the next during a challenge.
- Separate the hole-out shots into a separate set of challenges and make it more lucrative to complete them than the other challenges. Start with the easiest ones like the short chips and escalate to the crazy long ones. Hitting a certain number of chips within a certain distance and actually making the shot don't belong in the same challenge and should be rewarded differently.
- PERMANENTLY BAN whoever created the Make 1 flop shot challenge from making future challenges in any game, let alone this one. What the hell, man?
Thanks
