Takes to long to level up

59.1 hours and still at level 42. This is ridiculous i don't play 4 to 8 hours a day like a lot of you. Before i buy the next version will have to make sure things like level up have changed.

@7AnimalMotherWell said. Successful EA franchises like Madden, NHL and FIFA allow players to allocate attributes up front. That is what I prefer. Even UFC allows allocation up front. Even Tiger Woods PGA tour have more attributes up front. The current PGA Tour starts at zero. The only other EA game where players have to grind for levels and attributes is NBA Live 19 while previous versions of NBA Live allow for allocation up front. We have not seen another NBA Live sequel since.

  • That's odd, I was fully leveled up in just over 2 weeks of getting the game. I don't remember now but you seemed to get XP for everything in the game.

I may have gotten a significant number from the challenges, which I stopped playing a long time ago.

@ELF014 Mostly play 1 or 2 Quick rounds a day and now it takes like 6 rounds to get 2 xp! Fed up.

@SlimDown57It took me one month to level up to 50, and I played for 3-4 hours every day at the time. I don’t play as much anymore. In Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2014, I leveled up in a week. I just miss that gameplay here.

  • Personally I think the concept of levels are silly for all sports games; these are NOT RPGs.  Just allocate all attrubite poiints up front and let people allocate them as they choose.

That said, don't stress to much on leveling.  The game is actually more challenging and fun before you have your player is maxed out.  The game is far too easy once you are even half leveld...

I personally don't have a problem with leveling up. I think it adds a reason to continue playing the game. As in real life training should increase your skills.

I also like that you cannot max out a character with every skill to be a super player. This provides a community where every player can be unique.

So basically you are rewarded for putting time into the game.

For this particular issue, my problem is that EA made it far too easy to reach the level 50 cap. And then XP became of no value in the game.

It would have kept me playing if we had only been rewarded 1 point ped level... and have it capped at level 100.

You can still score low in this game without having a maxed out character.

In fact I currently play with a character with no skill points or specs because the game plays too easy. I play career mode at 100%, on basically SIM mode but with wind direction and green grids and still win every tournament. But at least now the AI is usually leading for the first two or three rounds, before I catch and pass them.

  • @ELF014 I quite agree that training improves your skill, I find that like to start the game as a rookie, play every round on the q school etc etc and build my career at my own pace, slow and methodical as I would in real life. However, I concede that there are those who want to power thru the game as fast as possible then move on.

@Allan5858I can see people wanting success early in a game, but isn't that what arcade mode is for?

I find that for myself, once you have mastered something it gets boring and it becomes time to find something new.

But I see your point about those that are just checking it off their list. I'm not one of them... but honestly I have become bored of the game. I haven't played it in almost 4 weeks... and haven't missed it.

I'm just hanging around hoping for something to improve gameplay to bring me back into the fold.

And just to add, for myself it's more about the journey and not the destination.
