I'll happily agree that quick play is messed up.
Having tried it at last, after finding it monotonous to play 4 rounds each tournament, I now consider it a choice between getting bored playing 4 rounds each time, or fighting an insane AI that is set on destroying my stats and trying its hardest to ensure that I won't achieve first place.
I'm not the greatest player in the world, but when doing the 4 days in normal mode, I usually end up with a score of around 20 or better under par combined across the event, and will see 3 or 4 bogeys at most.
In quick play, the AI seems to think that I will get at least 3 bogeys per day, and I'll be lucky to achieve a combined total of 10 under by the end of the event.
I'm not sure what kind of algorithms they use to get such weird random numbers, but it makes quick play a non viable option in reality. Clearly they don't base it on actual scoring averages for the player.
