1. I want to be able to sit together with my wife and each of us use a created avatar/player in an offline game.
2. I want to be able to place my ball on the Tee area instead of being restricted to the games decision of where I must tee off from.
3. I REALLY would like to hit a high short iron and NOT have the ball roll for an inordinate distance. I have hit a nine iron on to an up hill green and had the ball roll 32 yards! 32 yards uphill! the ball roll distance is really not accurately displayed in the game.
4. I want to be able to elevate the camera to enable me to see high up/over trees etc.
5. Currently I am somewhat sorry that I spent $70 for this game. The old EA Sports games had some of these features and both of my other golf games have them also.
6. I DO like having all of the courses included with the game.

Not sure what you may know already but just on this point note that this changes significantly as you develop your player via particularly skill points to increase approach control in your 9 iron example. Have a play with a pro in Quick Play to get some idea of how things change if you haven't.
