My requests are concerned with the elements of the gameplay, and increasing realism on sim settings.
The game is already great and I'm having a lot of fun with it, but there is always room for improvement.
1. Decreasing the spin on bunker pick shots and the flop shots. They are overpowered right now and not realistic in many conditions. There should be some roll out when the green is sloped away from you and/or green is moderate to fast speed. These two shot types currently play like you always have an uphill lie to a green that is above you and the greens are soggy. You should also get some semi or buried bunker lies.
2. Lip out cup physics. Yes we all hate lip outs, but they are a part of the game.
3. Fix the strange and excessive slow speed ball roll through the rough. It seems that anytime your ball dribbles into the rough that is on any kind of downslope, the ball will then roll endlessly until it hits a flat or rests in bunker sand. Currently, the ball behaves like when on the slope in front of the 15th green of the Augusta National but on every course on every downslope with rough.
4. Shot Shaping. The angle required for the swing path should gradually change from straight back-and-forth as you adjust the amount of shot-shaping you are attempting. Currently it starts with a relatively extreme angle for the most minimal amount of shop shaping (and therefore comparatively very hard to match the plane on any attempted shaping) to adjusting to even more extreme angles. It's very unforgiving because you are fighting the self-centering of the controller stick because you are required to not go through the controller stick midpoint on the downswing and follow through path until the very end. I am wondering how many players are actually using shot-shaping on a consistent basis in its current form?
5. The ball spin on low iron (3-5 iron) shots needs some adjusting for the default (not skill point maxed out) player. IRL, reasonably good amateur players can get significantly more spin on these shots than the default in the game. Currently it plays like you are always hitting approaches to very dry greens with some degree of tailwind. Just a little adjustment and it will play correctly. Don't go overboard in the other direction, like other golf games where these shots are way too easy to execute successfully!
Like many others have already requested, practice driving range and putting green would also be very helpful.
