@RichACSeeing as my original reply didn't mirror your view and somehow isn't visible. I say it much shorter, 2k23 Devs started as perfect golf years ago .the 1 game that actually had potential but like all their games is left full of bugs, incomplete and now just another of the failures like the golf club 1, 2 and PGA tour edition,2k21 and 2k23. They start it never finish it and make a new version and new revenue stream. But to even try to compare it to the (yes flawed) EA sports game is like comparing an etchersketch to an 8kHD tv.2k23 like their previous HBstudios attempts had potential but we're only for a short time good because there was nothing better. They are a cashgrab only glitches galore and yes I too once thought the graphics and gameplay were great until you can't lie to yourself anymore and realise how bad it is. The mechanics are awful now they changed it to stop cheaters only opening for more. The graphics and playability are not even in the same league forget class by comparison to EAs.I am just as annoyed as everyone else about EAs lack of doing anything they should do. But don't glorify something sooo much worse. There are so many ways that games disappoints that this game at its worst is still light years ahead. EA needs to listen but they won't but 2k23 will only empty your wallet of real $. It was free after purchase for 1 year. Now they remove your inventory Blane you for and expect you to repurchase not once either. Don't play for 3 weeks and see what happens to what inventory you've bought or earned and if you want to play at the level those items afforded you you will only see it again if you but it because "it's always your system or your fault that caused it" they will never replace anything pay help staff to redirect you instead until you give up or they close you support ticket saying its fixed because it's your fault.you can give then screenshot proof and they will remind you of agreeing to thier policy. EA has just been doing it longer and are better at doing nothing. But the games are no way comparable.2kay23 is gameboy compared to ps 5 ever since they introduced replaceable boost level balls, now you pay to play and the cost?Real golf balls are cheaper
I agree 2k23 looks like a game from the 90s compared to EA with the physics and graphics. Bu8t that is not my priority as my POST should of clued you in on. And being that this is a sport game, the goal of every sport is play socially or competitively with others. Thats what matters more than anything else, so if EA wants to prioritize other things, than most of us will continue to play the 2k23, cause the graphics simply don't matter as much.
Also your post has nothing to do with my original topic.. I haven't played a golf game except wgt on my tablet a little bit, since ea abandoned the pc in 2008. EA claimed it was piraters that hurt their sales and why they abandoned the pc. I'm saying it was cheaters that ragequit the playerbase, something they would never admit. And you can see the same thing happening in this game. The reason why people want EA to focus on SIM features, is because they gave up playing with cheaters online. Who wants to play in a tournament when the same couple dozen people get obscene scores and noone has a chance? ALot of people don't realize that making the game harder isn't going ot change anything!!! I think its human nature for people to just want to punish the cheaters, and seeing them shoot lower scores is their way of doing it. Or whowants to play a match game where you literally don't have a chance in hell? wake up bud. All this Job security at these companies, is costing jobs ironically lol.
They threw these graphics at you as a cash grab. Literally released a bare bones game and haven't done much to it since. You fell for it man. So did I.
@RichACEA did not abandoned PC golf in 2008 your math is flawed. I thought my last EA golf PC game was 2015. Some body correct me if I'm wrong?

I believe Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12 for PC was the last one. I think there was something else named Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Online too.

Wiki has Rory McElroy released in 2015?

TW 13, TW 14 and EA Rory were not released on PC, probably because of poor sales of TW 12. Even this game, Steam is showing only 35,000 sales. Not much a return for investment there, not worth the hassle. If EA makes another game, I will be very surprised they will make a PC version.

absolutely they did bud. Why don't you try your hardest to debate me and explain exactly why my math is flawed? lol
Let me give you some more history. The writing was actually on the wall in 2005 when EA Sports sold their sole rights to MLB and the two companies that bought them, 2k being one of them, didn't even make pc versions. The two baseball games that came out after that were console only, and I knew then and there that pc gaming was on its way out. By 2008 it wasn't just golf, EA sports stopped developing all their sports games for the pc literally except soccer I think lol. 2005 coincidentally is the year that mass cheating really started to slowly take over online gaming. But by 2008 it was so bad there was no denying it was killing off games. EA literally blamed it on piracy, but we knew the real reason players were no longer buying pc games. Same reason why in almost 50 games so far on 2k23 I just bought, i've only seen one other pc player lol. ANd I bet when those guys see the steam symbol next to my name, their heart probably sinks assuming i'm a cheater.
