Too Many Computers have Accessed...

I'm on Stem but also have EA Play Pro - bought the Deluxe version of the game on Steam but want to use the 10 hour trial for even earlier access.

Started trial fine and after two holes it crashed and now I gte the message "Too many computers have accessed this accounts version of EA Sports PGA Tour (Trial) recently. Please try again later"

I've only got one PC and I've got 2 step verification on my EA and Steam accounts with alternative email for both. This game hasn't been accessed by another computer so why am I being locked out?

Thanks

    Hi @BandicootTrait

There are a few things that can trigger this message to come up, for more information you can check out our Help Article: Download and Play your games

If you get a message that says: Too many computers have accessed this account’s version of [game name] recently. Please try again later.

This is because you can only install your game on up to five computers per 24-hour period, as mentioned in our Terms of Service.

Here are some things that can count as a new computer:

    1. using a different computer
    2. changing the hardware in your current computer
    3. using a virtual machine
    4. using a cloud gaming service.

It can take up to 24 hours for you to be able to relaunch the game. If you're getting the error after 24 hours, let us know so we can help.

    Thanks!

@MrAspectsTTV Almost the same issue, I have reinstalled my OS twice today and am getting the same error. Jedi Survivor was not working on my OS, crashing before even a splash screen, so I reinstalled Windows and yay it worked. I played for a few hours, and then later installed the rest of my apps etc again. I went to play again and it was crashing again before launch. So I reinstall Windows, intending to thoroughly debug what is cause the crash, and now I have this message, despite it being the same computer, so now I cannot play the game, or debug it, or reinstall any of my other apps.

I have only ever installed my game on one PC and I keep getting this error about too many computers...

I did reinstall Windows twice over the past two days due to Jedi Survivor constantly locking up my PC, requiring a reboot.

  • I have this issue with Jedi Survivor - the game crashing seems to trigger a new count even though it's the same computer and the same hardware.  Waiting 24 hours is not a solution, it's a workaround to the problem that your software is not doing it's job properly and incorrectly counting the number of installations!

Can you please update with how this can be reset, when a fix will be forthcoming, or how you will be compensating your customers for arbitrarily removing access to paid-for software for 24 hours - do I get a 24 hour credit back on my Play subscription for example?

  • same experience, i hope EA delete this is dumb feature cause i only installed  in 1 PC.

@EA_Illium Eliminate this dumb restriction. Do you guys not realize your services is on cloud gaming and affects it because of this dumb restriction?
  • OK, what gives. And if I installed my game on only 2 PC's instead of 5. Why  I am still getting this message, that I cannot play on because to many PC's have accessed. But I for a fact know that I have only 2 of them and none other can access my account because of MFA auth.

Beep this sh*t of an EA app. And force to use App even if you buy games on Steam is also bu***t.

Hi I am getting the same error.

I only have one PC and have not installed the game elsewhere.

I have not made any hardware changes to my PC

I am not using geoforce now or any other streaming service

I paid 60 pounds for this game and the only help offered on this forum is wait 24 hours

Perhaps you can tell me what is causing this and how I can resolve it now so I can play the game I actually paid for today rather than wait until tomorrow and see if it works then.

  • I'm having the same issue - what is the cause and why do I need to wait 24 hours after paying £75 for early access?
