Appreciate with everything else wrong with the game at present this might not be high on EAs agenda but can we please get an option to turn off the auto retire rule when hitting a triple bogey. Totally immersion breaking, we should be able to hit 10 at Augusta like the pros. It would be an easy fix to add an option in the settings.
Agree totally. If real life golf had a rule that you couldn't score worse than a triple bogey, we'd all be laughing. If you really mess up any hole in golf, your scorecard should pay the price. It's not like we're holding up others through slow play in the virtual world is it?
Yes, please turn off strok limit or make this an option. I hit the water twice at the Players and should of had a 7 or 8, but end up with a bogey. This is not realistic.

A hole is not done until the ball is in the cup, if you hit water or out of bounds, you don't just pick up your ball and skip.
Just got the game last night and realized this while playing, how is this a thing?!!!! Please remove this, it's killing immersion. You call this a golf simulation game but you can't shoot more than 3 over par? Ridiculous! At least give the option to turn this feature off.
This is probably a thing because some of the devs got frustrated after making more than triple bogeys in the game. 😃
It's silly things like these that give EA a bad name, they can't get the actual rules of the sport correct. Okay I could understand this is a thing for online play to move the game along but why does it exist in solo or career mode? It's ridiculous. I made a bug report for their F1 game, in F123 they have 30 mins for Full Practice in F2 Practice session when it should be 45 mins. It's simple things like makes me think they are hiring people to make the game look pretty but not people that knows rhe intricacies of the sport.

This has been pretty obvious from the start for this game.
Ridiculous, luckily Steam has a 2 hour return policy, I'm gonna return this game and stick with 2K...at least with 2K they know the rules of the game they make!
Yep that's what I did, after I found out about this immersion breaking part of EA's game I used Steam's return policy to get my money back.
