I already tried to post this once but -EA- ban me because I speak my mind.... "EA- is the issue with this game, nothing else" it's like this, imagine working in a toxic workspace where everything i...
The game is old, it's well over one year old. Gamers will always leave to play newer games, Madden, UFC, NBA, FIFA, Battlefield stuff and others... or preferring the competition golf game. There's no new money to be made for EA here, that's the issue. It doesn't matter if users are still playing the game. The only way to make enough money to be worth it in development, it's to do like 2K and make a new golf game every 2 years or so. Maybe that's the model here, the game is abandoned and they're working on a new game with more contents and new gameplay. It was also the plan for EA Rory, not be a yearly cycle game.
Or maybe like in EA Rory... EA believes there's just not enough money to be made in golf with development costs, and all the licenses they have to pay to keep making a golf game.
If anything, EA listened too much to the community, or should I say the simmers community. Starting with one requesting in a bug report that putts should go over the hole like the hole is not there, making a lot of customers angry as it made the game much worst. And an awful lot of devs resources were spent on the request of 60fps which did not improve the game at all as far as I'm concerned, I'm not even using it.
Anyway, football is king in the US, and it's all about the long awaited new EA Sports College Football game. That's where most of devs resources went along with Madden 25.

OMG! This is your best contribution on this discussion board ever. I spat my red wine all over my computer desk and can't stop laughing. 😃 😃

Well said. The Notorious Update 3 was the catalyst for the Vicious Rory Cycle of Abandonment. College Football 25 is disappointing its community because there is no player creation and customization in the game like the other EA games. If EA didn’t listen too much to the simmers community, there might have been some resources available for PGA Tour given the disappointing start for College Football 25. This scenario happened with Star Wars Battlefront 2 after Battlefield 5 flopped at release; EA added more resources to the 1 yr old at the time SW Battlefront 2 that would ignite its resurgence.
Sadly, it was expected EA would remove player creation for College Football. They stopped doing the game because they were sued by college players in the first place. Back in January or February, it was announced users would be blocked from creating players rejecting NIL opt-in. All players opting in received something like $600 and a copy of the game from EA to be included in the game. It's all about NIL and EA protecting itself from being sued again.
