The Start Of Things..
So I got the new pga tour Deluxe version on ps5. I got to play it from 4/5/23 to 4/6/23... then today I launch the game on 4/7/23 at 2:00 pm and I got to play my story mode for one game, then at the end of the match it kicked me out to try reloading the match, and then gave me an error message that I couldn't connect to ea.
so I close the game and relaunched and now that the start menu just loops to connect to the ea server. then after trying the second time it just freezes on the connecting to a server thing for like two hours before I closed it and restarted my ps5 and check the internet. I launch the game and it just tries to connect over and over and loop that to the point where it just freezes on that and just stays there for hours. so I then think ok is this just ea, so I launch FIFA 23 which had the same problem and stop me from playing that game and I can't get a refund for it so I'm stuck with it.... well I launch the FIFA game and OMG it worked...
it loads everything and I was able to play.. which surprised me cause I've made like 15 tickets over four months trying to get that game to work... After trying so hard to get in contact with anyone from Ea to help, I gave up. well now out of no way FIFA work. but now my pga tour game doesn't. I'm hoping that pga tour won't take a month to fix...
this is just too much for a normal person to go through to get an ea game to work. Ea makes ok games and I would love to play them... anyway basically my problem is that the pga tour won't connect to the server and I'm guessing it looping on my account somewhere on ea's end. I've tried everything from port forwarding to vpns, even taking my system to another friend's house to try, and using his console to try. Nothing fixed it, for me it was just a waiting game for Ea to do something. I will provide a screenshot of what I see and a video.

I've tried the trick by making another account and trying that with no success. I've tried changing the DNS no luck there. I've tried restoring the game licenses on PlayStation and nothing. Nothing I do works. I know this is on the ea side with my account. My friend's account work on his console and mine. Just my account looping for some reason. I've reinstalled the game 3 times on different consoles and networks. I've come to terms with ea.... the Form people are trying but this is a job for the engieer, they need to beta test or playtest the network over two weeks before launch to iron this thing out. Or have a website page where a user can fill out info or show a video of what happening and allow the engieer to see them. I know there may not be a fix for everyone but this is kinda a lot to go through just to play a sports game... I found the only thing that fixes my problem is when there a big update and the server go down and/or restarts. then it works for a day or two, but once I turn off my PlayStation and close the game it kills that chance for me to play. At this point, I wish there was a phone service that would actually let of communicate with a software engieer or network engieer. I might not fully know how to do your back-end stuff but just being noticed on the problem can lead to productive resolution.
As for my problem with this, it is server end on ea part! I have proof of the way other titles work but ea sports game only. Im guess if they would force a reboot once a week it would more than like temporarily fix the problem. I'm not the smartest guy out here but here's the key thing I noted when trying different things.
Sorry for the form people that might be tired of me posting on this. But this is unreal on how much money ea make to not have a full game work without the internet. im to a point where id rather have offline or split screen. I can play a quick match but it freezes at the end and kills my game. I paid for deluxe and I just feel like you guys are stealing my money and giving me the middle finger on top of that. AGAIN I don't mean the form Gods lol I know you guys are trying and your job is to help with articles that have been made already, but here are the things. Telling people to make a list of things they have already done might not improve the problem but make us more upset with ea. to be real all I wanna hear is that you got hold of an engieer or someone at ea that does the backend of things, and you put the problem down in note or program that we can see the engieer tracking that problem and the process with it. As for the form mods and admin, I can see them working hard with little to no info on things. that makes me super sad cause they are getting mean messages or getting the blame for something they can't fully control. So if your reading this admin I'm sorry if I come off bad. it's just I'm a fan of ea and want better from them, and if we the fan don't stand up they will keep doing things we don't like. I think ea should have more support for their sport or online game. Cause it seems like a lot of the problems come from that. Their single-player game is amazing and works. I just wish I could say the same about any sports game. Last thing here is also admin don't post the basics for trouble shooting on this ...
- Clear the systems cache (Close the game completely > Turn off the console > Wait 30-60 seconds > Restart and Relaunch)
- Verify you signed into your PSN account
- Check for updates
- Restore Licence
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Open your PS5 NAT Type
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
I have done these and plus over and over. Nothing work till ea kick everyone off and update the game. Then I can play, but if I turn off my ps5 it will break and not connect to the server. Maybe the engineer or backend people could add a button on the start menu that forces stop login on the server or connect to the server. Then Allow the user to refresh or reconnect the link to the server. I'm guessing the looping is happen when you start-up and gets overload or bad info then freeze or fail to connect. again one fix could be just a manual connection to the server to play. or add a button that restarts the app and network data for the server like making the person log in again so the info gets updated and might fix the problem. Other than that i would say for now just update the game every Monday that resyncs the network data. these are just guesses here im not a pro nor do I work there but this seems like it looping/ bad info on ea side to the server.

Well, its day 4/10/23 4:25AM and a half and for others like 6 or 7 haha.... so far nothing has changed.. I still get to the starting menu and it try to connect to ea and doesn't connect.
Just a Quick Vent:
I have tried my best to email tickets and post on the form with no results. I have not been contacted nor have I heard from anyone at ea..... not even a community manager. I understand the stress from people in the forms, and they only have like two or three people watching over the forms. this is very poopy to me as a fan/ customer. If ea was a restaurant or local business it would be dead in the water by now, but because of its support it fine. Sadly that is not the case here cause ea has history with big companies and the parent company that keep it afloat.

Now you would think with all that backing and firm, there would be more profits given to the support team of ea. heck, I have seen a management company supporting you.... yet I don't see a lot of management on the fan/customer side of things. I also see how I've never had so many problems with a game company before then with ea..... as I've never gone out of my way to write this must just to get my game working! Look I'm not trying to bad month or anything. i just want more support for the fans/customers and I know not everything can be fixed in a week, but you have months to prepare the game, and you could of delay it. Hell, you guys could have a dedicated site that shows the process of the bug and what is being worked on. yet nothing has been provided to us fans/customers.
I'm to this point where i can no longer support what ea is doing. It makes me sad to say this..... I have a great memory of ea games as a kid and semi as an adult. it is only a matter of time before someone or a group of people will sue ea for lack of support with the fanbase, and for a product that was not ready or falsely released as done. As for me, I don't have the fund to sue... Barley had the fund to pay for the pga game that doesn't work, and i can't get a refund from PlayStation cause i open the app... To me This is heartbreaking i work my * off trying to save money and spend it on a few games a year. The rest of my money goes to rent, bills, and school. It's just heartbreaking to pay for a game open it and it works for a day then break and only let me play it when it feels like it.
AS OF NOW MY GAME WORKS!
As of 2:57pm 4/10/23 i was able to launch the game and stayed on the connect screen for like five minute and then works. I Am THANKFUL TO THE PEOPLE THAT FIX IT THANK YOU. As of now I will keep a watch on this and see if it does anything funk. Also i have no clue why my game work now! just turned on my console and launch the game to check to see if it work, once i saw the ea screen it then tried to connect for five minutes and then loaded! So we will see how this goes!

Is anything else happening? can't play the game!
Are you only able to enter a match with Scottie Scheffler? no freeze at the quick match first screen
What happens if you try to leave the round or quit the game and relaunch? something over and over. being it load ea screen then try to connect and fails and tries again and freezes.
Please share any steps you've tried so far to resolve the issue: Restart the internet, try switching from LAN to Wifi then back to LAN when it failed on wifi, then used a VPN and try from a different state, then restarted everything from the PlayStation to the router, then tried other ea titles which worked, then check to see if the server were down on ea but couldn't find the game or icon, and last I try on my friend console at his house, and his profile works fine, but anytime you try with mine it messes the whole game up.
If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip... I will provide a video and picture of the error in action.
