Unable to Play in Wetlands Championship or Banff Championship

    I got around it by creating a new golfer and started it out on the PGA Tour, without doing an amateur season and skipped straight to the alternative event. With having no record / stats, you are forced into the alternate. 

    It's not an ideal solution, but it works.

Question:  If you create a new golfer and then win the event, who gets the 9000 rewards points?  Does it go to your overall account or does creating a separate golfer mean a different set of rewards points just for that created golfer?

@wlhaven The 9000 vc goes to the overall account. It doesn’t matter how many created golfers you make. XP on the other hand is per separate golfer. Lucky the 9000 vc us for account.

    This should not be an accepted solution, needs to be patched.

    Thank you for the info. Terrible workaround but at least there is a way to accomplish the challenge.

    I agree that it is far from ideal.

    At least it's a means of getting all those points to spend on specs though. 🙂

    @Noya_WesaI was also able to complete the Banff Championship. Luckily my newly created golfer had more skills points and the finesse shot compared to Wetlands. It is not ideal since she played similar to Danielle Kang; I actually played as her in a challenge. But it is better playing like Danielle Kang instead of the Phantom of the Open. I am happy I can once again play as my regularly scheduled created golfer after completing the quest. Your workaround helped me collect 18,000 vc. Thank you once again.

    @joeding Exactly..if you choose not to play the main event it should default to the alternate.Creating another golfer is not a solution.As it stands EA have created quests that you cannot complete..I don't know if this is a * up or a conspiracy .

    @joeding i agree complete crap we are still dealing with this with EA. If the Majors coordinate anyway to this game which u assume they. If you win THE OPEN then it’s a an expedition up until 60 years old. Which means you cannot play in the alternate. At least give us a work around option or not make an alternate a challenge at all. Make it a win every tournament in a season. With how easy career mode is. Even on max AI and difficulty swinging etc…. Cupcake devs I have tons of hours in this game. Lazy. They made the best golf game and I love it but that’s why this is so frustrating because there is way more potential with this game.
