It certainly is a strange one.
It's interesting that the attribute points have an RNG effect on a shot. Personally I would expect attribute points to affect the difficulty of making the shot itself from user input rather than affecting the shot, certainly when the user inputs the perfect straight shot.
I am a 3 click player (sorry) so in my example the line I timed was perfectly in the middle (I wish I had took a screenshot of it) and my eyesight is generally good enough to spot minor details (it's actually part of my profession) so I am under no doubt that there was no way a slight fractional off click from centre perfection could have meant an exaggerated deviation from the intended target plus the wind was actually blowing 7mph in the opposite direction from where the ball went, so it makes even less sense.
To give more context, my stats points are middle to slightly high for driver accuracy and I have spent maximum points on this attribute, so it just needs better specifications for it to be near, if not, perfect now.
Dispersion - it's in the game.

Really?
Wow
So you can do everything right in a shot and it can still mess you up with RNG?
If I wanted a slot machine I would go to the casino.
That is an insane and poor decision from EA
Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea?
Here is me thinking it was a potential bug and they have actually put it in the game on purpose.
I am sorry but that has to go, it goes against the nature of an ACCURACY sports game

.... or at the very least, have it as an option to toggle it off and on
- 3 years ago@Stevie-G-you-see I call it Randomly Generated Nonsense and it needs an on / off switch.
I recently started a new character to collect some Quests and I think the better the player gets, the MORE often shots go insane. It is the most frustrating function I have ever encountered in a video game.

And yet you see posts from all the "realism" try-hards that want EA to do everything possible to make the game harder so they can have the satisfaction of shooting par on a golf video game. "ooh, randomness is just like real life!" I play Madden because I know I'll never throw a 70 yard TD pass in real life.

@Beerrun4uI like the ability of throwing 70 TD passes in Madden or a player scoring 10 goals in a single game in NHL. In PGA Tour, it took more than 3 months for my player to score -18.
PGA Tour lacks sliders or any option to turn off RNG and Lip-Outs. Madden, Fifa, NHL and even UFC has figured out how to handle difficulty settings with sliders.
