@PalomaMarvel24 There was a new Star Wars FPS in the work, and EA cancelled it.  In the communique, he's getting out of all those expensive licensed IP.  It sure looks like he couldn't wait to get out of all the exclusive rights for the Open, US Open and PGA Championship, they're all in the new 2K game. I guess it's no surprise, it looks like FIFA wanted $1 billion as license fee,  EA told them to pound sand.

It looks like a golf video game will be getting a major update on February 28, 2025…Drum Roll…The Release Date for PGA Tour 2K25. Finally the Open, US Open and PGA Championship has come to 2K. The exclusive rights for the Master will most likely follow in a future update or in PGA Tour 2K27. I am already looking forward.

I thought you were exaggerating about $1 billion, it's even worse. It was 1 billion for only 4 years.  How many copies EA would have to sell just to break even, that's crazy.

There's the update, with the other dead or cancelled games like Dead Space and the old FIFA. And they called that franchise discussion. 🙄

OMG, the person naming this board a franchise discussion had a weird sense of humor.  A one live service game lasting less than 1 year before being cancelled.

The old Answer HQ is now redirecting to this new forum. Of course, we have to dig to More EA Games to find discussions about the old games not supported anymore like this game.

There's an update, the game is only $7 at the Playstation Store and $9 in Canada.

Katybee_1313  That is one of the lowest prices I have seen for a video game. I agree that this is one big update. I would be surprised if Dead Space costs more. I could see the Suicide Squad game challenge EA PGA Tour for that spot by next year.

Are you really all the surprised?  This is EA's MO!!  They have been doing players dirty this as long as they have been around!
