Weekly Tournament: No reward given for World Ranked

One more thing that comes to mind:

When the game was calculating tournament results, i played a round of stroke play on Chambers Bay to get to know the course and the game crashed..

I restarted and the calculations for tournament results appeared done (no rewards yet) on both tournaments, one gave me rank already (i think it was the weekly but am not entirely sure), the other had still rank pending, so i restarted the round on Chambers Bay as well..

After that round the rewards been ready to collect - well, only one was because the other as missing.

Tournaments are a waste of time for PC users unless you can score -18 or so a round. Numbers playing are now so small even scores of -5 can be "missed rank" (like mine was). EA are doing a magnificent job of driving customers away from playing the game dontcher think 🫣

I feel ya, competition is tough for sure, but that's not the point of this topic: i went -14 for World Ranked and just didn't get a reward.



That being said, i am far from being one of the best players and i could've "easily" reached -18 if i didn't mess up here and there (was the arcade difficulty one, maybe pro - same thing anyways imho).

I only bought the game after S1 was over already but managed to get into the Winners circle for one of the seasonal tournaments in S2 anyways, but i guess you could call me a vet from PS2 days so i just had to re-learn a couple of things and was good to go. TBH the game feels like an exact copy of the old TW games as far as i remember. I mean, even the "stuck animation bug" from back then was still in here until recently, so it's natural you have a lot of people calling their old muscle memory etc out of retirement, being able to produce passable (in some eyes maybe unbelievably good) scores..

Bottom line i also have the feeling that the competition increased during the last 2 or 3 weeks: I guess more people are learning to play the game properly. Good thing overall if you ask me, but tough for the competition for sure - i feel payouts should be adjusted slightly to compensate for that, but yea.. that's a different topic.
