This is pretty standard for all games that do level increases though. Still don’t get why a sports game needs levels, but for MMO and similar games that have levels, you sadly don’t continue to earn or bank xp while at max level. They want those new maxes to have that grind attached!
I hear what you are saying... but why did it take EA 7 months to figure out they wanted to increase the limit? I personally was fine with it at 50. There are so many other things they could be addressing.

No idea… I liked the current amount. Made people choose to specialize or be average at everything.

@7AnimalMother I totally agree with you. I don't know why they wanted to increase it by 10 points. It's not like it is really going to be that significant, and like you said I also personally liked that playing styles could be wildly different.
What they have done is sort of like tearing the bandaid off a wound. I think most people have accepted this concept... now it just reminds those that want to check off all the skill points that they can't do it again.
