I agree career mode is too easy, but why not play multiplayer if you want a challenge? Shooting a few strokes under par on sim with no attributes is easy. Shooting -15 on sim every single round isn't, even fully leveled up, but that's what the best players are doing.

I have no interest in birdiefests... I want to grinding out pars, when it is warranted on a difficult hole. If I miss a shot I want to work out how to make a par from where I am.
It isn't about shooting -15, it is about translating a realistic experience from the gold course into this virtual environment.
I play ridiculously difficult settings in 2K and seldom do I break par anymore... but I enjoy it more than when I was consistently shooting 5 to 10 under. And those that I play with agree, score is just a measuring tool.
But when things are too easy there is little to seperate us.
I don't think the best players are playing this game.
