Yeah, on the Series X the swing lag is terrible! Most of the time there is a certain amount of lag to every swing (especially on the downswing), but every once in rare while it will actually read the swing input when it is supposed to, and on the other extreme I can start on my downswing, and on the rare occasion it won't even register it at all! The bar just keeps going up and my swing ends up a mess.
It is fairly unplayable this way. I tested it out on my PC (the 10 hour trial) and on the PC the swing mechanic works just fine. It's a Series X issue as far as I can tell.

For those having issues with lag and thinking its an Xbox issue i can assure you im on PS5 and have the exact same issues the games menus are so slow its unreal, and then the game itself when you swing its down to blind luck and not skill where you hit the ball
