Arena KEEPS crashing

It started happening about a week ago. This is on an iPad mini 5.
i’ve upgraded ios to the latest release and uninstalled and then reinstalled PvZ2 to try and fix the issue but it still keeps crashing every 4 or 5 games.
What I did to avoid the bugs that trigger the app crash was to use no winter plants, but instead use mines and other explosive plants in order to p|ss off Gargantuars as little as possible.
When Gargantuar show up, I use Tumbleweed on him so I can get rid of his @ss as quickly as possible.
I played 5 times in a row without app crash.
Here is my "bug-free" setup:
Do you not have Torch Wood?
I ask because Pea Vine is good and works well with Torch Wood and other Appease-mint plants..
