Scottish, not Aussie.
Personally I'm in favour of metric over imperial, the only thing it doesn't work for is the calendar.
- linuxPigPen6 years agoSeasoned Ace@MAGICDAVESHROOM I drove through Canada once awhile back and all their gas stations had signs that said although their gas prices looked higher we were getting a good deal because they were quoting in Imperial gallons. I call BS. 🙂

I have always found it confusing that a US gallon is smaller than an imperial gallon, the USA's🇺🇸 measurement system was copied from the UK,s🇬🇧.
Petrol in the is now sold in litres as it is supposed to look cheaper than the price per gallon.

According to my phone at 6pm gmt it is 12°c in the middle of England and 8°c in Austin, Texas where Lawfmw lives.
(54°f and 46°f).
I sent her some rain because we were having too much and they were having a drought.
- 6 years ago@MAGICDAVESHROOM Its 8'C here in Belfast....but do sent lawfmw some rain please because we are definitely having way too much~~~

Had no BH seeds, just unlocked it
Upgraded GP from 3 to 5
Thanks you Arena pinatas !!
Altho unlocking BH 1 week before her official tourney starts, is a bit weird ...

thx everyone for the rain as it is a fall/winter drought here !!!
"terribly" cold day today at 44 degrees F - I know, single digit Celcius, but it could be still colder !!
We may have had a freeze (0 C) once or twice in December but not even close in January

You should change your phone settings to belfast, Jamaica and perhaps you and your cacti will feel warmer.
- 6 years ago@MAGICDAVESHROOM I think we will psychologically feel warm, but physically cold xD man...if its that temperature, my cactus will be huge by now~~

I like the Fahrenheit scale for temperature because it correlates readily with the normal grading scale.
A (90 - 100) is HOT
F (60 and below) is COLD

And water freezes at 32 °F and boils at 212 °F. Super easy to remember^^

I know, right? And how long did you ponder before being able to TOSS out those numbers so readily? Hard to remember, indeed.
🙂

In my view Celcius is too "compressed as a scale" to be able to gauge the weather properly
