I would not be surprised if your finding is not an isolated incident, there are many Battlez player noticed this too including me.
Since EA repeatedly denies the bots’ existence in easily stages of Battlez, I have done some tests (a long while back) to check whether Battlez is player vs player or player vs computer.
I started by trying to get a lowest winning score and the lowest crown to win league. What I discovered (at a great expense of gems) I could manipulate the results so from that day on, I know I am just playing against a computer program – just like adventure mode but with a pvp emulation.
I was disappointed at first when I realized it was not a LIVE BattleZ !
I always wondered this. Supposedly we are playing against other players scenarios. If that is true then what are we playing against at the beginning of a tournament and everybody has a 0 score

But i just lost a match where i was winning by 500k then was overtaken and lost by a considerable margin, i was spamming blover and didn't make any mistakes.
We're told that bots dont use mastery but you decide.
We were told streak killer bots does not exist so .....
