I have just opened the new battle arena but it closed immediately and went shot straight back to the Home Screen.It has only done this on a device running iOS 16.7.10. I can’t open the battle arena without this happening.

for everyone, having problems, I recommend you go to the first post about this and click on “me too“. I am hoping that this may motivate the developers to speed up the patch a little bit.Otherwise, it doesn’t seem like there’s much we can do except wait for them to fix this for us.

I am on iPad running iOS 17.7.2 and the exact same thing happens to me too. I cannot play the arena and arena preview. Game goes black (crashes) and starts back up at home screen

Ipad mini 4, IpadOs 15.8.3 has this problem (cannot play the arena), iphone 13 mini, IpadOs 17.4.1 doesn't

Are you running the latest 11.9.1 PVZ2 update by any chances? I still have all my iPhones on 11.8.1 and will hold back the update for now.

Yes I updated on Saturday and everything was fine , I collected my arena rewards and it shot straight back to the home screen.
Every time I try and enter the arena that’s what happens.
I have other devices on different versions of iOS and they are fine

No, I am running 11.8.1 and don’t see that version queued in the App Store. Maybe that’s my problem? How do I get the latest version?

Same here - as soon as you start arena it crashes. To add - we saw this happen in practice arena and hoped it would not progress to the main battle arena. Whatever is the problem in practice arena was pushed as is to the main battle arena ...

Game version 11.8.1 on iPadOS 17.7.2 on an iPad 6th Gen - preview and live arena both crash immediately on commencing. Noticed that the last tournament in Arena Doom-Shroom & Friends vs Zombos crashed a few times at end of game - resetting win streak annoylingly. Checked the obvious things from FAQ - like storage but I'm using under half of 120GB - and the game is working fine in the other bits.

I have the exact same versions of the game, iOS and iPad model and Arena match and Arena preview crash immediately as well.

I installed the newest update this morning, and the game still crashes immediately opening Arena battle or Arena preview. This problem makes the game fairly unplayable, and as a player I’m not seeing the advertisements. Your company EA, should let your advertisers and sponsors know that their ads are not being viewed, resulting in wasted advertising dollars for those companies who are renting ad space!

It seems like everything connected to Blazeleaf, from the plant info page, to the area is glitched. I hope they fix this soon or offer compensatory rewards for those who can’t access the new content.
