I just did my 2nd free play of the day to collect my gems. Ended up on the 3k coins award. Looked at the scores and noticed I was in 3rd and not quite 150 crowns ahead of 4th with over 2 hours still left to play. I argued with myself - you're safe, he can't catch you in that amount of time, save your resources. Then bloodlust set in. So I played one more game.I'm running in streaks of 10 in this tourn, so I'm feeling pretty cocky as I hit the PLAY button and gird myself for the pull tab award battle. I was expecting crap as usual upon winning but no. I got 10 Aloe, 10 Chard Guard and 10 Peanut. First time this tourn I didn't get Cactus or Blueberry or Starfruit or some other useless premiums I'll never buy. Why oh why wait til the last hours of a tourn to deliver value EA? Why?

@HenryThePear I like your EAvil plan. (I shrunk the text size to make it harder to read on purpose, hopefully it attracts less attention from the EA Devs.)So if you have time, then by joining the tournament 1 hours before it ends may earn yourself a top position with very little use of gauntlets) Please do not stick this to the hints and tips. 👿

@linuxPigPen I still have yet to get aloe. I did reach the nut pinata yesterday and got chard guard, which surprised me...because i am pretty sure from the almanac, that chard guard isn't a nut or even is under re-inforce mint. I am trying not to do a play until the league change. I am at 133 with 6th, 5th is 134 and 4th is 135 and 3rd is 136. If i get a play and win it, i am going to get 3rd and end up in jade. For the first time, i am wishing someone is going to move so i can have another go...but judging by the state of my league for this week, i don't think anyone is going to play...

@linuxPigPen Someone in my league moved so i happily did another play and now end up nicely in 4th... muahahahaha

@linuxPigPen You said grinding dark ages when it first came out right? I never met it when it first came out....so there is no way i would be grinding dark ages at that time. Oh well....i am sure it will come back again at some point in time.... on the very bright side, i got 122 gems for being 4th....very very happy~~

@Perfume-shroom92 Chard Guard is Reinforce-mint family 😉 When using Reinforce-mint (+Blover) you can not only get rid of all the zombies on your lawn but it also refreshes all the leaves of your Chard Guards

@Perfume-shroom92 Once you get to Jade, you won't have to stress about overtaking 3rd place anymore. 🙂 I remember the times I was cursing the person in 3rd saying you stepped out now be a big boy and own it so the rest of us can move up. Very frustrating I know. ☹️

@HenryThePear These people have no sense! There is no reason to go full tilt for these rewards. The only thing is to collect the 500 crowns for 4th level Pumpkin so you get a slight advantage for the next 5 tourn in season.

@Perfume-shroom92 Sometimes it is good to get into Jade League to cash in some gems. You get 270 seed packets for 100 gems instead of 260(?) in Gold league. It would also be a good time because we have a 3-day tournament ahead of us which means you'll be back to Gold League in no time xD
But maybe you want to hoard your gems 😛

I thought of moving up when I had 2500 gems but then I forgot and spent them all on Modern Day pinatas in Gold. And then I still had to grind for 6 weeks to get Grimrose to level up.

@PowerToss Currently hoarding gems 😛 for any plants that i can get for gems. Also after you mentioned, i went and look at the almanac and realise chard guard is part of re-inforce mint.
