Game crashes

Has anybody else had a lot of games crashes in the last week? This just started for me about a week ago. Half the time the game freezes while it is loading and I have to do a force stop and clear the cache to get it to load again. Other times I can be in the middle of a round and it just exits to the desktop. Rebooting the tablet makes no difference. I guess my next step is to uninstall the game and install it again. But this is happening on my phone as well.

I have done the whole gamut of troubleshooting. I know what causes it but not why. There is a workaround for it. If I turn off the WiFi on my wifi only tablet the game will start up just fine. Then I can enable the WiFi and start playing. This is reproducible and solution is consistent.

I tried all of your suggestions and nothing's worked. It's now gotten to the point where I am losing gauntlets I paid for with gems as well as free ones. It's getting ridiculous that I am winning an area match then the game crashes. I usually win in my league and now I am at the bottom. We need a resolution.

@EA_Illium After the latest software update the game crashes whenever I try to play in the arena! I get a certain amount of points (eg 5,000) and the app on my tablet crashes!

The game crashes whether I am playing in the arena or penny pursuit or the weekly challenges! My iOS is updated as well as the game. Help!

I play on iPhones and have been experiencing this problem since 10.4.x update.
The workaround is to re-install the game to clear the corrupted data from the forced ads and server data linkage checks. Before you are going to do any re-installation, I strongly suggest you should do the two most important things listed below.
1) Note down your player ID. (Just incase you need to contact EA Help Center for assistances.
2) Register your email so you can recover your game saved progress either back onto the curret device or on another device.
For item 1) if you can no longer open the game due to constantly crashing, you can find your PvZ2 player ID from the IOS settings menu via:
Settings > PvZ2 > PLAYER INFO > PlayerID. (this consists of 5 sets of codes)
