Ghost Pepper can be frozen.
Latest tournament, used ghost pepper repeatedly and it gets frozen. As its a "pepper-mint," shouldnt it be immune? Cant report bugs to ea directly, hope this helps

I could not resist so have to try this out myself.
It is as you have discovered, Ghost Pepper does not have warming ability like other Peper-mint family members and could be frozen by the freezing winds even without a vine around it.
Update. It appears the new plant Meteor Flower could also be frozen if it was placed on a vine. hmmm
